Staying in Style

This collection of media explores the concept of “style” as inner logic rather than an external aesthetic, inspired by Charles Bukowski’s poem "Style." The collection was originally curated and published to Are.na by Soko Mungunsukh, with contributions from the project’s designer, Michael French.

The project takes on the form of a fashion moodboard and is designed to immerse the user in the chaotic thought process of personal style curation. Within this framework, Michael organizes subsets of the collection into specific moodboards based on four different types of external pressures that produce style: existential, emotional, physical, and creative.
